SureSmile Clear Aligner Therapy in Leavenworth

In most cases, SureSmile treatment takes about a year. This means that it’s faster than braces for the majority of patients. If you’re a good candidate for both braces and SureSmile, clear aligner therapy will typically offer faster results.

To begin, you’ll visit The Smile Centré for a consultation with our dentist in Leavenworth. She will determine if you’re a good candidate for treatment. If you are, Dr. Kirwan will take impressions and images of your mouth. You’ll be sent home, and she will work with SureSmile to build your first several sets of aligners.

In a few weeks, you’ll come back to our office to pick up your first few sets of aligners. Dr. Kirwan will provide you with instructions on how to wear them and care for them. You will need to wear your aligners for 20-22 hours per day, removing them only to eat and drink, and to brush and floss. Consistency is key, and your treatment may be delayed if you don’t wear your aligners for long enough.

About every six weeks, you’ll come into our office for a quick checkup. Dr. Kirwan will make sure that your treatment is on track, and provide you with a few more sets of SureSmile clear aligners. This same basic process will repeat until your treatment is over, which typically takes about a year.
